About

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and I hold a MA in Bibliotherapy, which is a psychodynamic form of Art Therapy. I am also trained in Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Stress Reduction, Mother-Infant Observation and Violence Prevention and Intervention at the Vancouver Battered Women Support Services (BWSS).
Along with my psychodynamic approach, I integrate CBT and bibliotherapy, in accordance to the client’s needs and preferences.

For the last nine years, I have worked in numerous multi-cultural environments. I have supported adults, children and at-risk youth, in many areas including parenting, anxiety, depression and stressful life transitions. I also facilitated groups of adults in rehab centers who are struggling with drug addiction.

As a counsellor I work together with the client to help them locate their inner answers and skills and bring them to the surface. We work together as
co-authors to re-write their personal stories in order to shine a light on their strengths, abilities and talents that would otherwise remain hidden.

I engage clients with empathy and acceptance within a safe and respectful environment. I practice collaborative work with clients and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.

I believe in social justice and accessible mental health to all. I volunteer at the the Battered Women Support Services (BWSS) in Vancouver.
